Partner, Sunni S. DiNicola, Esq. was honored to be included in the 2019-2020 Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellows Class.
As part of her commitment to advance the law and build a better justice system, she worked with a team of her peers to develop the “On the Margin: Foster Youth at Risk for Human Trafficking” symposium, which will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. The symposium starts at 4:00 pm EST and it is free to attend.
At this symposium, you will learn more about the alarming number of Ohio kids in foster care who fall victim to human trafficking.
Hear from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, human trafficking survivors, and other experts who are fighting to address this concerning issue. Discussions will be led by former Ohio Supreme Court Justice Yvette McGee Brown and will focus on educating and, more importantly, action.
Throughout the evening, the event will highlight three different organizations who are on the frontlines working with survivors, kids, and the community. Learn what Advocating Opportunities, CASA of Franklin County, and Ohio Justice and Policy Center are already doing to help foster youth and victims of human trafficking and how you can get more involved.
The OSBF is asking for any donation amount, that will be doubled by a generous benefactor and means more than ever with this extraordinary match! All donations will go directly to the honoree organizations (Advocating Opportunities, CASA of Franklin County, and Ohio Justice and Policy Center).
