Hello, my name is Bree O’Neal, and I am a rising third year at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. I am from Lima, Ohio but spent much of my childhood in East Lansing, Michigan. After graduating from Ohio State in 2019 with my bachelor’s degree in African American & African Studies, and Philosophy with a minor in Legal Foundations of Society, I decided to attend law school. While in law school, I’ve developed interests in various legal areas like business, health, and contract formation. Additionally, I have taken part in the Inclusion, Diversity, and Justice program and the Peer Mentor program. Further, I was a senator on our student governing board during the 2022-2023 school year, and am currently the student publications editor for the Ohio State Journal of Technology. Although, pursuing a Juris Doctor is only one facet of my interests. Outside of school and work, I am spending time with my two dogs, Eevee and Esben, doing yoga, or training for the upcoming Columbus marathon. Thus far, working at Lardiere McNair & Stonebrook has given me a hands-on experience into the daily tasks and operations of private firm practice and all that it entails. I am grateful to Lardiere McNair & Stonebrook for taking a chance on me and for allowing me to be a part of their team. Additionally, the work environment has far exceeded my expectations and makes coming to work every day an enjoyable experience. I am excited to see what the upcoming weeks have in store.
