Chad M. Stonebrook is a Partner at Lardiere McNair, LLC. His practice focuses on Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Real Estate, Landlord/Tenant Disputes, Employment Law, and General Business Law.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Chad started working as an Associate with Lardiere McNair, LLC in 2013. Before joining Lardiere McNair, Chad spent three summers clerking for Critchfield, Critchfield, and Johnston, Ltd. in his hometown of Millersburg, Ohio. He also spent time interning with the Athletic Compliance Department at The Ohio State University, the Ohio House of Representatives, and NiSource, Inc.
ENTREPRENUERISM
Chad comes from a long line of business owners, and he is proud to add to that legacy. Chad’s grandmother, Linda Barnhart, owned and operated a hair salon in Millersburg, Ohio for over forty years. His grandfather, Garry Stonebrook, owned and operated a painting business in Nashville, Ohio for over twenty years. His great-grandparents, Warren and Christine Finney, started an automotive services and gas station, which is still in the family today. His great-grandfather, Olus Barnhart owned and operated a grocery store, amongst other business ventures, in Millersburg, Ohio.
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS
Chad is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, and United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and American Association for Justice. He serves as the Vice-Chairman for the Columbus Bar Association’s Notary Committee, and serves as a District 7 Council of Delegates Representative for the Ohio State Bar Association. In 2016, Chad was invited to participate in the Columbus Bar Association’s Barrister’s Leadership Committee.
EDUCATION
Chad is a 2012 graduate of Capital Law School. While attending Capital, Chad was a Dean’s List student who served on the Student Bar Association. He also served as a hearing officer on the Honor Code Committee to investigate claims of violations of the Capital Law School Honor Code.
Chad received his undergraduate degree from The College of Wooster in 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, while minoring in Political Science and Education. He authored a senior independent study thesis about the effects of technology of the 2008 presidential election.
PERSONAL
Chad resides in Grandview with his Wife, Emily. Emily works as a pediatric resident at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Chad’s passions outside of work include his family, friends, traveling, the outdoors, and sports.
