Voting is not a partisan issue. It is an American issue.

At Lardiere McNair and Stonebrook we strongly urge every U.S. citizen to exercise their right to vote. Now is the time to check to be sure you are properly registered to vote

Every election matters, but midterm elections often have an especially significant impact on our daily lives. While presidential elections tend to receive the bulk of the attention, midterm elections help determine who represents us in Congress, who serves in state government, and who makes important decisions at the local level. These elected officials influence everything from taxes and schools to roads, public safety, and economic development.

Regardless of whether you consider yourself conservative, liberal, independent, or politically disengaged, your voice deserves to be heard. Our democratic system works best when citizens participate. Elections should reflect the will of the people, and that can only happen when people vote.

Don't Wait Until Election Day: Verify Your Registration Now

One of the biggest mistakes voters make is assuming they are still properly registered.

People move. Names change. Records need updating. Sometimes voters discover problems with their registration only after arriving at the polls. By then, it may be too late to easily correct the issue.

Fortunately, checking your voter registration status takes just a few minutes.

Franklin County, Ohio Voters

If you live in Franklin County, you can verify your registration directly through the Franklin County Board of Elections' Voter Information Search. The Board specifically encourages voters to check their registration status and polling information before voting.

To check your registration:

  1. Visit the Franklin County Board of Elections Voter Information Search:
  2. You can also use the Ohio Secretary of State's statewide voter lookup tool:

These tools allow eligible voters to:

  • Confirm registration status.
  • Verify their address.
  • Locate their polling location.
  • Review voting information for upcoming elections.

The Ohio Secretary of State also maintains VoteOhio.gov, which provides resources for voter registration, polling locations, absentee voting, ID requirements, and election information.

Recently Moved?

If you have:

  • Moved to a new home,
  • Changed your name,
  • Not voted in several years, or
  • Simply are not sure about your registration status,

now is the time to verify your information. Waiting until the last minute creates unnecessary stress and could jeopardize your ability to cast a regular ballot.

Democracy Works Best When We Participate

The right to vote is one of the most fundamental rights Americans possess. Millions of citizens throughout our nation's history have fought, sacrificed, and advocated to expand access to that right.

Check your registration. Make a plan to vote. Then show up.

Because voting is not a Republican issue. It is not a Democratic issue.

It is an American issue.
