Marisa came to the firm in September, 2024. She has worked in the domestic law arena for the past 13 years, transitioning when her previous employer stepped back for retirement. Marisa enjoys legal work, but especially appreciates being able to be helpful to clients during the stressful process of divorce and litigation
She previously attended the Ohio State University and University of Akron where she studied Criminology, Sociology & Law Enforcement. She’s a current student in the University of Cincinnati’s Law & Paralegal Studies program and is on the Dean’s List. She’s also received her Certification from the National Society for Legal Technology.
She loves to read, and her favorite pastime is spending time with her son. She’s a volunteer with Doberman Underground dog rescue of Ohio, and both of her pup-children came from their roster. She lives in Hilliard with her husband Daniel, her son Lucky, their two dogs Rose and Biscuit, and two cats Kitten and Mika.
For my first lawyer that I needed to represent me, I was doing my research. With Sunni I felt a connection. When you feel a connection, that’s when you can trust someone. Sunni and the firm are really mindful of the clients’ needs and their time. I feel like they did an exceptional job.
