CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Mr. McNair focuses his practice on domestic relations, family law, business law, and civil litigation. His undergraduate business degree and small business legal experience serve as the backbone for his representation in high-asset, multi-faceted marital business disputes. In addition to the above areas, Mr. McNair represents clients with matters involving child custody, child support, adoption, post decree enforcement, contempt proceedings, and CPOs/CSPOs.

In 2002, Mr. McNair started as an Associate attorney with a general practice law firm where he handled civil litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, landlord tenant and other general business matters. In 2007, Mr. McNair started a boutique domestic relations firm in downtown Columbus, OH. In early 2013, Mr. McNair and Chris Lardiere founded Lardiere McNair, LLC.

SPECIFIC LEGAL EXPERIENCE

Some examples of Mr. McNair’s experience include the following.

  • Multiple jury verdicts for Plaintiff in cases where the Defendant's insurance company would not act reasonably; Several verdicts in the hundreds of thousands of dollars; Multiple Settlements for over $100,000.00; Many of these cases involved accident reconstructionist testimony, vocational assessments and other expert involvement;
  • Successful representation of Plaintiff/Appellant in the Court of Appeals in several different Appellate Districts throughout Ohio;
  • Representation of many individuals in Domestic Relations Court with family net worth in excess of $1M, family businesses, complex separate property issues, etc.;
  • Representation of many individuals who are going through tumultuous and highly contested custody battles, both during divorce, establishment of paternity phase, and/or post-decree.

PRACTICE AREAS

Family Law / Domestic Relations Law: Representation of individuals in a variety of legal situations which impact family units including, but not limited to: Divorce, Dissolution, Child Custody, Child Support, Grandparent's Rights, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Post Decree Modification, Enforcement/Contempt of Court Orders, Adoption, Family Mediation, Objections/Appeals, Civil Protection Orders/Civil Protection Orders (CPOs/CSPOs)

Business Organization: Representation of small to medium sized businesses from inception (legal organization or incorporation with the Secretary of State, SS-4, other various regulatory requirements forward). Representation of individuals or as counsel for the business (depending) involving issues of dissolution, ouster, derivative actions, etc.

Civil Litigation/Arbitration/Mediation: Representation experience includes all types of civil litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, uninsured motorist situations, insurance disputes, breach of contracts, property cases and collections. This representation has extended to areas including CSPO prosecution and defense.

Criminal Law: Representation of individuals, juveniles included in all types of misdemeanors from violent to white collar misdemeanors. Defense of violations of no contact orders, assault, domestic violence, theft, OMVI, all other traffic related cases, aggravated menacing and expungement/sealing of records. Limited felony representation (case by case basis only).

Simple Last Will and Testament: Preparation of Last Will and Testament for couple or single individual. Preparation of Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney, Durable Powers of Attorney, etc.
